Experience
Melina is passionate about innovation in healthcare, biotechnology, and synthetic biology. Through positions at Merck and Genentech, she honed her industry experience in areas ranging from RNA therapeutics to portfolio planning. She has also worked closely with a number of startup founders to help them reach their goals as a consultant with Oxbridge Biotech Roundtable and Biotech Connection Bay Area. During the course of her Ph.D. studies at Stanford University, she developed novel molecular tools for engineering biology and was selected as an Accel Innovation Scholar and a Siebel Scholar. Melina worked several years at AMV and is now a Product Manager for Biopharma at AMV portfolio company Twist Bioscience.
Education
Melina holds Ph.D. and Master’s degrees in Bioengineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley.
